About Us
Black Mountain Phonographic Distribution is a part of the Black Mountain Music family of comapnies, which also consist of Black Mountain Music the label and Black Mountain Booking and soon to be Black Mountain Promotions.
Black Mountain Music was started in 2001 to release the debut album for orchestral rockers, A Northern Chorus. Guided by a strict D.I.Y ethic, Black Mountain Music has put out a steady stream of music since then, ranging from the pysch rock fo SIANspheric, to the ragged indie pop of Play Guitar, to the glorious pop of Dog Day, and the dance rock of Sharp Like Knives. Each of our releases is a little work of art in themselves, with artwork coming from respected names in the design world (Seripop, Yo! Rodeo) and hand screened covers.
Black Mountain Booking was formed in 2005 to help fill a need to help up and coming Canadian indie bands to book cross Canada tours. Since then we've booked US and Canadian tours for A Northern Chorus, Windom Earl, Sharp Like Knives, Yellowwood, Infaltion Kills, Burdocks, A Northern Chorus, Dog Day, Toshack Highway, Great Plains and more.
